The Perfect Mokka Pot Brew

Grind your coffee to a fine grind (slightly coarser than espresso), about 20–22 g.

Fill the bottom chamber with water up to the safety valve, then insert the filter basket.a

Add the coffee grounds to the basket and level them gently. Do not tamp.

Screw the moka pot together tightly so the top and bottom chambers are sealed.

Place on the stove over medium heat and let the coffee brew into the top chamber.

Listen for a gurgling sound, which means brewing is almost finished.

Remove from heat and pour the coffee once the top chamber is filled.

Let the pot cool, then rinse all parts with warm water before reassembling.
