Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Heat Water
Bring at least 500 ml of water to 93–99°C.
2. Grind Coffee
Grind beans to a medium–coarse consistency.
3. Prep the Filter
Place the filter with the thick (3-layer) side facing the spout.
Rinse with hot water, then discard the rinse water.
4. Add Coffee
Add ground coffee and gently shake to level the surface.
5. Bloom (Gently pour water) (0:00–0:45)
Start timer and pour 80 ml of water in a slow spiral.
Let it bloom for 45 seconds.
6. Main Pours
0:45–1:00: Pour to 200 ml
1:20–1:30: Pour to 300 ml
1:50–2:00: Pour to 400 ml
2:20–2:30: Pour to 500 ml
7. Drawdown
Let the coffee fully drain. Total brew time should be 4:30–5:30.
8. Serve
Remove the filter, pour, and enjoy.
